Candle Care
How to get the most from your candle?
Looking after your candle is vital if you want to get the most out of it, a number of things can be done by yourself to extend its lifetime and your enjoyment.
It's recommend that you burn your candle for no more than 4 hours each time. This will reduce the risk of mushrooming, large flames and flickering. This will also help avoid wax being left around the side of the glass, also known as "tunnelling".
Your candle may not fully melt entirely to the sides of the glass until the 2nd or sometimes 3rd time you burn it this is known as the melt pool. Each candle comes with the correct size wick to ensure the glass doesn't get too hot and extend the longevity of your enjoyment of your candle.
My wick has a mushroom?
Some of oils we use react differently when burning and it can cause a small buildup of carbon on the end of the wick which can look like a mushroom, this is completely safe.
We recommend you trim your wick each time you light your candle to reduce the chances of "mushrooming", therefore getting more out of your candle.
How long will my candle burn for?
Each candle will burn differently due to varying factors and environments however during our own testing we found that each candle burnt on average:
30cl - 40 hours
Tealight - 2-3 hours
Wax Melt - 15-20 hours
